MapSphere can now be used to measure GPS Errors like CEP (Circular Error Probable) or DRMS (Distance RMS). This works when a GPS receiver stays still for a long period of time. You get the probability that a GPS measurement lie within a given distance from the real position. You can also use this information to interpret EPE (Estimate of Position Error) reported by your GPS receiver. |
