Traveler of the Month (August 2008)

We are proud to present Dima Filonenko (DFilonenko) as the MapSphere Traveler of the Month in August 2008. Dima is very creative on our opinion and he has undoubtedly merited our reward. Most of his photos look professional and there are a lot of real masterpieces among them. We were also impressed by his picturesque stories. The images there are very vivid and poetic. Most of Dima's travels are to his motherland - Ukraine. However they look so different. The Black Sea and Crimean rocks, a lot of interesting faces and the spirit of city of Kiev, the majestic monastery in the Holy Mountains in Svyatogorsk, the vast expanses of Siberia and somber forests in the Carpathian Mountains – it's worth seeing! Dima prefers the trips to wild places where one can be closer to the nature. Fresh air and green hills, a lot of trees and flowers, a photo camera and a heavy rucksack on his back – that is his choice. We hope that Dima left some space for his reward. We presented him a compact notebook ASUS Eee PC 901 with a USB GPS receiver GlobalSat BU-353. From this point on he will be able to write his new reports and to select his photos directly during his trips. And we are also waiting for your trip reports on MapSphere Online.
